If there's one thing that can brighten my day and take me out of any funk, it's being outside embracing the sunlight (or rain or snow...I have no bias) and enjoying nature. It's pretty easy to say I thrive being outdoors and getting out for a little adventure whether during peak golden hour or under a sky full of stars in front of a fire. I've lived in 9 places throughout my life (and counting) in pretty much every type of diverse landscape. There's so much to be seen and every environment has it's own colors, textures, and overall special uniqueness about it. When I'm out and about and you add a camera into my hand...well, you're in for a real treat. In fact my business name, Lovescape Lens, was created by combining all the unique love stories I get to be a part of intermixed with stunning landscapes plus a camera in hand. This isn't something I take for granted. Every story I get to witness is truly a gift.

Hi, I'm Brittany -
Adventure Seeker & Landscape Enthusiast

How It All Started...

A new DSLR was purchased at the time and I would go around documenting my kid any chance I could get, but it never stopped there. Anything related to the outdoors truly lit my soul on fire (and still does). I'd go out exploring capturing any landscape, flowers, trees, sunsets I could find. Then after the dreaded Covid apocalypse , I decided to take a chance on myself and start making this into a business. The rest as we say is......[insert overused cliché ;) ].

With a cheap Kodak digital camera. I used to hijack my parents camera any chance I could to take the most random photos (or the most-staged selfies for MySpace...is my age showing?). I almost went to college for it, but had the anxiety of it never working out and decided to move in a different direction. Fast forward about 10+ years, I got married, had a kid, and then my infatuation with photography really took off.

My First Adventures

The moments I fell in love with being outdoors were hiking with my family, specifically my dad in Colorado. We would hike kid-friendly paths along Pikes Peak and throughout Garden of the Gods. I learned not to drink the stream water, how to listen for rattle snakes, and how to use the bathroom outdoors (yikes). They were great and insightful experiences and ones I continue to think back on to this day.

Do we sound like a perfect match?

In regards to my current work, I hope people look back on their wedding and elopement photos and reflect on how stress-free and joyful their day was. I want them to see how fully immersed they were into their surroundings, but also take in all the tiny details that could easily be forgotten. To reminisce and smile back on their day through every raw emotion I personally captured in each of their photos would just bring me the most joy.

In regards to myself and a camera, I hope I never put it down and continue to find beauty in every passing day. I want to enjoy the visuals that life has to offer and all the sweet details that go unnoticed. You can document charm and energy in any one particular moment if you just look close enough.
